Mobile Equipment
Cornell University employees utilize a wide variety of powered, mobile equipment, such as aerial lifts, indoor cranes, forklifts, utility carts, lawn mowers, tractors, and golf carts. Many of these pieces of equipment can pose significant hazards if operated unsafely, and OSHA has numerous regulations detailing the maintenance and use requirements for mobile equipment.
University mobile equipment users are required to attend training before operating these pieces of equipment. EHS provides training and fact sheets for affected University employees.
