Occupational Safety

Our occupational safety professionals promote health and safety procedures at the University. They recognize hazards and measure health and safety risks, set suitable safety controls in place, and give recommendations on avoiding accidents to management and employees.   Our occupational safety team typically focuses on topics such as machinery safety, material handling, personal protective equipment, fall prevention, electrical safety, and mobile equipment.  We provide many free services including OSHA safety training courses, safety assessments and walkthroughs, consultation on safety concerns, incident investigation, and safety reviews for campus events.

For those programs and procedures that are not associated with an established Safety Program, please visit our Other Safety Programs and Procedures page. An example includes: Prohibited Isolated Work.
