Solid Waste
Cornell University Solid Waste Program is designed to reduce, manage and dispose of non-hazardous discarded (abandoned or considered waste-like) materials arising from human and animal activity. The Environmental Health and Safety Office assists Cornell University Colleges and Units in achieving and maintaining compliance with Federal, State and Local regulatory requirements. Management includes obtaining and administering permits, registrations, variances and other permit related determinations regarding construction and operation of the University's solid waste management facilities.
