Access Chemwatch with a Cornell NetID

Cornell EHS provides campus wide access to Chemwatch, an online Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database consisting of over 250,000 Chemwatch authored documents, and 13 million vendor supplied documents.

Using this database, you can:

  • Search for Safety Data Sheets

  • Download documents to your desktop computer
  • Generate and print chemical labels
  • Access the system from the desktop any iOS or Android Device

In addition to Chemwatch, the Cornell libraries web site provides access to Bretherick’s Handbook of Reactive Chemical Hazards from 2007, which is the latest edition. This reference provides known incompatibilities between specific combinations of chemicals.
