Formaldehyde Program Protected Document

The Cornell University Formaldehyde Program is intended to establish who may be at risk for exposure to formaldehyde and provide education and resources for the safe handling of formaldehyde. This program is in compliance with The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Formaldehyde Standard 29 CFR 1910.1048.

Hazard Communications Written Program Protected Document

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) requires that all employers establish and maintain a program to evaluate and communicate the hazards of chemicals in the workplace. This document establishes how Cornell University meets the OSHA HAZCOM Standard requirements.

Hearing Conservation Written Program Protected Document

The Hearing Conservation Program is to provide guidance for protecting Cornell University employees from long-term hearing loss associated with noise levels in the workplace.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Fire Code of New York State(FCNYS) require facilities to develop procedures to protect both human health and the facility itself from the hazards posed by hot work in the workplace. This program is intended to provide the Cornell University community with the guidance necessary to comply with these regulations.

Lock/ Tag/ Verify Written Program Protected Document

The purpose of this Lockout/ Tagout/ Verification (LTV) Program is to ensure the health and safety of Cornell University employees by establishing the minimum performance requirements for disconnecting hazardous energy sources whenever service and/or maintenance is performed on equipment.
