FM Global Hot Work Permit
The Hot Work Permit is required for any temporary operation involving open flames or producing heat and/or sparks.
This includes, but is not limited to: brazing, cutting, grinding, soldering, torch-applied roofing and welding.

Hot Work Program Protected Document
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Fire Code of New York State(FCNYS) require facilities to develop procedures to protect both human health and the facility itself from the hazards posed by hot work in the workplace. This program is intended to provide the Cornell University community with the guidance necessary to comply with these regulations.
