BARS, Other Guidance Documents

A Biological Agent Reference Sheet (BARS) reviews the risk and steps that can be taken to mitigate risk for work with the agent in a laboratory setting. The goal is to offer standardized information about the health risks, recommended PPE, and handling conditions for different agents present in Cornell University laboratories. This information also represents a training tool for Principal Investigators training the next generation of researchers. BARS are a collaborative product developed by EHS/Biosafety with the assistance of various subject matter experts within and outside the Cornell community. If you have recommendations for current BARS or new BARS you would like to see please contact EHS/Biosafety at askEHS@cornell.edu.
